so happy to be back
yesterday was miserable and sums up why i dont like chicago
felt sick, had okay hawaiian food (loco moco! major comfort food dish)
felt really sick unfortunately
then lollapalooza is just like a bunch of greasy looking teenagers who have far too much money and time on their hands, and adults who are just looking for lines of crack--literally what the hawaiian food place was all talking about
bought my sears/willis tower ticket online, got there after realizing lolla messed up bus routes, and then of course the storm hit, making it impossible for me to get up there, and now i have to deal with that refund
ran into a train station from the rain hoping to get the purple line, only to realize they dont run on weekends. i waited 40 minutes to figure that out because unfortunately i did not read the handwritten pen sign saying so on a random wall of the station
taking 13 stops on the brown line, 11 stops on the red line, and 4 stops on the purple line, i finally got to evanston
evanston maker faire was okay, most people left after getting rained on, but i saw mike moceri again who printed me maurice the lion and my little tomb dog :D
some cool stuff, bought a barrette and little toys
watched power racing which is hilarious
learned about laser cutters
yeah
it was okay
bootleg faire though since the booths didnt have lights so most of the makers (who actually showed up) were using their phones to show off their stuff....
got home at midnight, packed until 2:30am
most miserable o'hare experience with long lines and my back is killing me from my immense backpack
sigh so glad to be home!!!!
