Late entry and early wake up...
Woke up yesterday feeling not so hot about the day, but still kicked myself out of bed to go enjoy Learnapalooza~
Signed up for a salsa class which was horrible because the man teaching it was obviously not a salsa teacher but a begrudged man who has been turned down on the dance floor and snapped
All he did for 50 minutes of the hour long class was talk about the principles of social dancing, how everyone is equal on the dance floor, ladies should not ignore guys, one shouldnt show off and try to look like a big shot, etc.etcetc. to the point where there was almost no music or dancing. WORST DANCE CLASS EVER. more like a social dance seminar -_- he might as well whipped out a powerpoint and killed me lol
Next class was more productive, as it was all about photography and how to edit them in Adobe Photoshop and now I feel super knowledgable. If only I had photoshop and implement my skills, woe is me :(
Walked around Wicker Park which is a cool neighborhood, I really gotta find my way back and I probably will since I dropped by the Chrome store to see if there was anything in my price range for Fardeen and the cool friendly hipsterish dude told me the first year anniversary is this Thursday and there will be free beer (FREE BEER, FREE BEER he yelled) and giveaways (GIVEAWAYS! i heard)
Gotta go shooting in the area, stumbled upon some cool graffiti and I cant wait to walk around for sure and snap some more photos
Met with Dorian and ate New Haven inspired pizza (haha) from Piece, which was pretty good, and enjoyed a good cold lager
Went to the Modern Clave Dance Premiere at Mixed Motion Arts, which was a cool event except that every single person was out of my league except for one guy whom I bonded with quickly. Him and Amanda, Dorian's friend, was nice :)
Had tons of fun even if it was spent being intimidated by amazing professional salsa and bachata dancers, but it's always so much fun to watch people who know what they're doing and enjoying it :) Definitely inspired to go back into ballroom when I return to Queens
Got home at like 1:30am safely which is good since my area of South Loop gets creeeeepy at night
Now rushing to see what jobs and internships are open in the fall because im a fool who forgot deadlines are coming up!
