highlights:
- my partner's a super diva who needs to work harder
- did my first ABCs of Art tour which was precious bc the 4 and 5 year olds were amaaazing
- did my first Art from Many Places which was wayyy too many places haha and it was okay because meh my partner is super sick, worried about her life, etc.
- first museum practices seminar was with Douglas Druick, head of the museum who was really cool because he talked real talk about AIC, its history, and the economic situation of the museum
- second museum practices seminar was with Mark Pascale, curator of Prints and Drawings (modern-contemporary) who was funny because he is such an artist and anti-academic and sooo awesome. brought us into the vaults and we saw everything from size 1 clamshell boxes full of durers, a huge beautifully bound choral book, size 9 massive soviet posters (one for each day of the war, which 1000s were all sent to AIC wrapped up), Kentridge, Neumanns, Crumbs, etc. it was greaaat
- uhhhh we accidentally color coordinated one whole day: team stripes vs. team blue. team blue won
- getting drinks with kendall and emily after work and talking about stuff and bonding :)
- getting to know sophia and the teen interns (angelica, holly, janet, and kat(hy)) who are just so cute lol
- goodbye party to terah walkup :(
- the canceled tour which enraged the entire department yay they have our backs
- new timesheet system which is just an electronic punch in
- SO MUCH WORK WHYYYY
- found mcdonalds, a great sushi/boba place, and like 10 nail salons near my workplace
- still need to shop for food, clothes, and do like 16 errands in this 100 DEGREE HEAT WHYYY
- spent $13 on postcards, damn you AIC!
- LIGHTNING + car = tiffany being scared someone blew up a building. 100 degree heat, fog on the edges of the city, broad daylight and lightning. oh chi-town do go on.
love the library, must spend my life there :)
